Read here what your day-to-day program could look like. Of course, this is an example and the trip will be tailor-made for you with love.
Day 1
Arrival in Antananarivo
Day 2
Travel to Antsirabe
A driver will pick you up from the airport and take you to the accommodation.
In about 4 hours you drive to the heart of the highlands. This is the city of the Pousse-Pousse, colored carts that are usually pulled by bicycles.
Day 3
Travel to Miandrivazo
By car you travel to Miandrivazo. A small town towards the west coast. It is one of the warmest cities in the country (Antsirabe is the coldest). You will spend the night here so that you can continue your journey early tomorrow.
Day 4
Travel to the Kirindy Forest
The Kirindy forest is a private reserve. Many lemurs live here and you even have a chance to spot the island's rare and only predator: the Fossa. In the evening you walk with a guide to see the nocturnal animals.
Day 5
To Bekopaka
A long ride ahead towards the Tsingy de Bemaraha. The route is an adventure that you can only experience with a 4x4. The route is particularly bumpy and you cross the river twice with a pound.
Day 6
Visit the Tsingy de Bemaraha
Spectacular scenery awaits you. You've probably never seen this before. You can agree with the guide how long you want to walk, but don't miss the suspension bridge. During the walk the guide will also point out various animals such as lemurs and different types of birds.
Day 7
Travel to Morondava
At sunset you will pass the Avenue de Baobabs. This street is the most famous in all of Madagascar, with many large baobabs lined up next to a dirt road. This is guaranteed to produce beautiful photos!
Day 8
Travel to Manja
A long journey where you travel through dry landscapes. It is not an easy route, but that makes it extra adventurous and unique.
Day 9
Travel to Andavadoaka
Today you will cross by ferry. The again bumpy route takes you to a paradise beach where you can relax.
Day 10
Day in Andavadoaka
Enjoy a day at the beach. The view is beautiful and the grilled fish is definitely fresh. The Sunset is simply indescribable.
Day 11
To Ambatomilo
Day 12
Day in Ambatomilo
Beautiful surroundings all day long. It is very dry here and the sand is loose. You slowly bump along the road and stop here and there for a few photos. No one can take this experience away from you!
This day is yours! You can book various activities here, including snorkeling or quad biking. Taking a walk on the beach is always relaxing. You don't have to be bored.
Day 13
To Mangily
You drive past small fishing villages where it is difficult to imagine living there. It's so different compared to the Netherlands!
Mangily is also a fishing village, slightly larger with an attractive center.
Day 14
Day in Mangily
Nothing is planned yet for this day. You can choose to go to the 'Spiny forest' on an ox cart. There are even more baobabs and other unique tree species here. You will also spot some salamanders and special birds here and there.
Day 15
To Isalo NP
You travel to Ranohira on a paved road. In the meantime, stop wherever you like for a break and some photos. After about 4 hours of driving you will see the mountains of the Isalo National Park coming towards you. Get ready for a spectacular hike tomorrow.
Day 16
Visit to Isalo NP
Discuss with the guide how long you want to walk and what you would like to see. The route will be adjusted to your wishes. Along the way you will see various lemurs, walk across lunar landscapes and climb mountains. You won't get too hot anytime soon, because you have time to take a dip and cool off in the natural pools.
Day 17
To Fianarantsoa
This place is mainly about the accommodation. You will certainly feel at home with this friendly Malagasy family. Their house is in the old and most beautiful part of the city.
Day 18
To Ranomafana
In the morning, take another guided walk through the town of Fianarantsoa. You then travel to Ranomafana in about 2 hours. Rano means Water and Mafana means Warm. The location of the thermal baths. You can visit this today or tomorrow.
Day 19
Visit Ranomafana NP
Ranomafana is a rainforest known, for example, for the golden bamboo lemur. In addition, there are many other lemurs to see, as well as chameleons, snakes, geckos, birds and of course special trees, flowers and plants.
Day 20
To Antsirabe
On to city life. Antsirabe is a small and colorful city with about 400 thousand inhabitants. These live spread over a large area. There are no real high-rise buildings here (yet). You can walk quietly through this city and choose one of the nice restaurants for your dinner.
Day 21
To Antananarivo
In the morning you will visit Lac Tritriva. You will get a tour of this special lake and hear stories about this place. If it is warm enough, you can even swim there. After this, you will travel to the capital of the country in about 4 hours.
Day 22

Time to pack your things again and say goodbye to this unique island. At least you've been there now and can share the most fantastic stories with anyone who wants to hear them!
